    Oral Surgery is the specialty of Dentistry that aims to diagnose and surgically treat diseases, injuries and anomalies in the teeth, jaws and related structures. This specialty includes multiple procedures such as tooth extractions (of erupted or impacted teeth), periodontal surgery, implant surgery, pre-prosthetic surgery (preparation of the oral cavity prior to the placement of a prosthesis), surgery for infectious lesions or surgery for cystic or tumoral pathologies.
